Quality father daughter time!!

Dancer stopped to smell the flowers along the way. The mountains in Southern Nevada are in bloom!!

Aren't they gorgeous!?!
Warning!! The next photo is not gorgeous and may gross you out!! It did me!!
This is what happens to an apple left in a backpack from last year! Yes, Dancer missed a little somethin' in her backpack. She reached in to grab her lunch and felt something squishy! She pulled it out and "Ohhhhh....Ickkkkkk"!!!
Oh, and by the way, it was a green apple!!
This is what I made with the honey bun fabrics Rachel sent me. I like it!! I am putting my loose papers (and coupons I never use) in it. Maybe this way I won't find anything squishy in my purse!!
Edit: The pattern is from Kim Walus of bitty bits & pieces for Moda Bake Shop. Credit needs to go where credit is due!! Thanks Kim and Moda Bake Shop!!
This is what happens when I leave my stitchery unattended!!
I also won a place mat kit from Rae Ann over at Rae Ann's Stitchin' Niche. I'm always on the look out for a new technique or idea. This technique uses freezer paper on fabric you run through your ink printer to make hexagons. I'm anxious to give it a try!!
Thanks Rae Ann!!
Piece & love,
Dawn

I always love to see what you are up to. What a lovely family time. Without the apple! Ick. funny though I can see lots of inspiration in those photos.
Dawn how lovely for your DH to have special time with DD. A special time to treasure for each of them. I love that you got your sewing time too. A win-win solution all round.
The file you made for your loose papers is fantastic.
The photos were beautiful and so is the beautiful bag/file that you made! Have a beautiful weekend!
Were you inspired to make your coupon holder from my "Bookkeeper" project on Moda Bake Shop? I hope so. It's so fun to see it made up in different fabric.
What a great dad. Those one on one times are so important.
Great sewing project.
Love your patisserie project and how you used your decorative stitches. Pretty. I noticed Hello Betty fabric. LOVE it. That's a BIG charm pack.
Fun!! Except the apple thing.. that's gross ;)
The flowers are gorgeous...I miss going to visit up there! And yes, that apple definitely has to be disgusting...just thinking about it makes me shiver! Cute paper holder too...I've been wanting to make that!
What a wonderful weekend. I love traditions. Love the paper holder you made!!! Thank you so much for my beautiful gift. You didn't have to do that!!!! Thanks for always being so willing to help me in my quilting adventures!!!!!
