I can't give enough praise to FQS!! They gave generous amounts of luscious Moda fabrics for each block and each block arrived without a hitch. It was so fun to get a block each month and look to see who designed it. The patterns were perfect. Joy to the world! Thanks FQS!!
Take a look at this bad boy!! Every time I lay out fabric on the floor one of my cats must lay on it. I guess they love fabric too! Meet Jazz. He is our 10 year old Hemingway cat. Check out his toes!
In my last post I told you I won a kit using the Inklingo method to make hexagons. Here are the results...
The fabric came with the design printed on the back.....
Here it is all cut out...
And here is what i did. The website has a video to show how it's done. I need to practice a little more, but it was fun!!
Piece & love,
Dawn
PS. I won Lauren's giveaway!! Yipee!! Look for a new banner on my bog. Thanks Lauren!

Jazz is precious. Are his toes typical of his breed? I've only had Heinz 57 pets! Your mystery is gorgeous. Yippee for great patterns.
I love the FQS quilt! I thought about doing it before but, wasn't sure that I would like the mystery factor. I always like to plan things out in advance, I guess I need to trust that someone else can do that for me...hmmm.
When you made the hexagons did you machine sew them? I just made a hexagon pin cushion from Moda and figured out a way to machine sew it and it came out great and fast. I wrote about it on my blog, but I am wondering if that is breaking some sort of quilting rule that they should always be hand sewn...maybe... I do love that Inklingo program though!
I love the FQS quilt...didn't you love how wonderfully it went together!!! I just took mine to be quilted yesterday!!! Did Jodi ever e-mail you?
All the grad visitors have gone now...we had a wonderful visit...my Grandma is still going strong at 88!
Hi Dawn!
These look great and I love your quilt kitty!
Sure hope you are making scarves for the abandoned dogs...could use your help!
See the second post at my place...

The new quilt looks great.I need to find out more about the hexagons. Congratulations on winning the giveaway!
SOOO pretty!!
I'm excited you won.
You actually won twice. I don't think I told you that.. you got 1st and 3rd on the random.org thingy.. but I figured you probably had a grocery sack holder already!
Can't wait to make your banner!
Congrats on your quilt...I know what you mean about cats...years ago we had one that would lay on quilts...I finally made him a little quilt of his own and put it on his favortie chair...
Good for you! Glad you won. Inklingo is really fun. I don't know now if I could hand stitch hexagons the other way anymore. Those toes are strange!!! You've been in our family thoughts and prayers (and fast).
Love your quilt top and your hexies...well I haven't taken them on...yet;) yours are lovely;)
lovely quilt and lovely hexagons! I do want to try those one of these days.
Dawn: It's nice to see you working on your Hexagon Placement. I can't wait to see it finished. Your doing a good job as far as I can see. Perhaps I should have another Give A Way, what do you think? Rae Ann
