I'm Not Afraid Anymore

I'm not afraid of zippers anymore! I finally tackled my fears of zippers. When my daughter was little I made her several dresses and never put in a zipper. If the pattern required a zipper I would either put it back or substitute it with buttons. I'm so excited!! After I made one I just had to make more...

The pattern is Little Glam Bag by Pink Sand Beach Designs. Her pattern is written well and easy to follow with lots of pictures.

I just had to add this last picture of my cat named Annie. She loves quilts!! I often find her under a quilt somewhere...she's so cute!

Piece & love,
Dawn

I am so proud of you! I am teaching an easy way to put in a zipper in little bags soon at QW. You don't have to be afraid any more!

Annie is darling. Sherri told me about Little Glam Bags last year and I ran out and bought the pattern. Still fearing zippers, I put it aside. Well now maybe I'll get it out again and play! Love your zippy bags.

Cute bags - maybe there is hope for me, too :) Annie is lovely - looks so warm and cosy in the quilt.

The cat pic is so cute. I had the same type of breakthrough years ago. I watched a u tube tutorial about how to put zippers into little bags - over and over. And I finally broke through. It is liberating. Your work is so great. It is nice not to be limited to what we think we can do but gain new skills.

Such cute bags! I never knew you had a zipper phobia. I just assumed you knew how to do all things "sewing". So excited that Kyle comes home in a week. I'm hoping to make it to his homecoming.

My cat does that too! You did a great job with those zippers. My daughter and I worked together on some little bags like that when I was teaching her to sew last year.
Hugs,
Cathie

Ohhhh, I think I should try this. I avoid zippers like the plague. Same here for my kids' clothes - ribbing, elastic, buttons but NO ZIPPERS! My kids even know this! LOL. I really should give 'em a try again.

I am a zipper phobic too, but I think you've convinced me to give it a try. The picture of Annie is adorable. We have a yellow lab named Annie and I think the name just means cute.
Have a great weekend,
