Rae Ann of Stash Manicure has asked me to be a guest on her blog. Go check it out. Now for the surprise...
I am having a giveaway!! Leave a comment at Stash Manicureor here. I will draw one winner Friday for the pot-holder and dish towel. Remember to leave an email address if you are set up as a no-reply blogger.
I liked your Stash Manicure blog. I am doing something similar myself but using 1.5 inch squares. It's fun seeing it come together. Cute give away prizes.
I just read your post as Stash Manicure and then followed you to your blog! I really do need to start using enders like that. Thanks for the reminder! And thanks for the giveaway! :0)
Good posting job on Stash Manicure! I've recently started sewing squares together like this and in the last month had enought to put together a twin size top! It's like a 2 for 1 deal at the grocery store! Your towel and pot holder are adorable and another great idea!
WOW. What an organized space. I am inspired. Maybe mine will look like that one day. Piece and Love to U girlfriend. from a reader of blogs...not a blogger wheels@mvdsl.com
The quilt on my own bed was made with leaders and enders, and so were many smaller projects. What a perfect post for you to share on Stash Manicure! Drop by - I'm having a little give-away, too! ~karen
Cute pot holder and dish towel and such a great idea to use 2" squares as leaders and enders. I haven't been using leaders and enders but I think I will start and use your idea. Thanks!
I enjoyed your post on Stash Manicure which brought me to your blog. I love the ideas about the 2inch squares. I am so going to do this. I have all these squares I cut for Scrap Therapy quilts but don't seem to have the time to go to the workshops every month. I love the projects you did with yours. Thanks!
Just read your post on Stash Manicure. I'm not as organized as you are. We just put the whole pile of cut-into fabric into plastic boxes sorted by color. Good ideas. mlwright29 (at) hotmail (dot) com
Just your idea alone to use 2" squares, rst, as leaders and enders is a great idea...but I also am liking the idea of how you end up using those leaders and enders by making quickie potholders and embellishments for towels. I plan on using this idea SOON!!! Thank-you.
Love the (future) quilt. Looks like you are heading in the right direction. I would really enjoy a pot holder and dishtowel. They would add a much needed quilty touch to my day. Thanks.
Wonderful ideas! (and inspiration for organization!) I liked your Stash Manicure blog, so I followed you to your own blog... which I greatly enjoyed! Dawn, your Mother's quilt for your sister, that you completed for her, is so *beautiful*... So much love in those threads and fabrics... Just what quilts are all about! I've bookmarked your blog.. I want to visit again! Blessings!!! Pat T.
I would have never thought to use the squares as enders while working on another project. Sets of squares would start building up pretty rapidly that way! Love the potholder and towel...they would look lovely in my kitchen!
Love those leaders and Enders. Wouldn't an Irish Chain Quilt be so beautiful made out of those little 2 inch squares! Susan in NC susie.galasso@gmail.com
When I saw it was you on Stash Manicure this morning I thought this is going to be good! And it was - you are! I am jazzed about my 2" squares now -that quilt is really nice!!! Thanks for the giveaway chance!
Your idea is great. I may need to give it a go. And the pot hold and towel another great idea. would work as a wedding gift. Hope you have a great day. Thanks Regena
About 4 years ago I joined Keepsake Quilting and they sent me 2 small boxes of 2" squares. They were samples of their materials that they carry. I have never done anything with them...until yesterday. I am ironing them on a gridded piece of very light interfacing and then sewing them horizontally and vertically to make a wall hanging. It's so much fun...I don't know why I didn't do it sooner :)
I am a wife and a mother of two dynamic kids. I am a sister and a friend. I am also a daughter of God. I live in the small town of Logandale, Nevada. My favorite activities are spending time with my family, Disneyland, geneology, quilting and stitchery.
